AMYAH FOUNTAIN
As a Mass Media Arts rising junior focusing on Radio, TV, and Film, Amyah Fountain is dedicated to enhancing Black women’s representation in media. She has assisted in a 2024 professional football draft and contributed to major music events, TV, and film productions. Amyah hopes to ensure that every Black community’s voice is heard.
RUSHAWN WALTERS
Rushawn Walters is senior journalism major and theatre arts minor at Howard University. He is a White House Correspondents’ Scholar and a member of the Nation Association of Black Journalists. He enjoys writing on topics pertaining to health, social activism and technology.
BRELAUN DOUGLAS
Brelaun Douglas recently earned a bachelor of arts in print and online journalism from Howard University. Along with writing, Brelaun also has a passion for photography and seeks to capture the essence and emotion of a story in both words and pictures. Brelaun is from California and has worked as a reporter for the Howard University News Service and The DC Spotlight Newspaper.
BRANDI MONTGOMERY
Brandi Montgomery is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in broadcast journalism at the School of Communications at Howard University. A native of Hopkins, S.C., Brandi has extensive community service experience and was selected as a White House Correspondents’ Association Scholar in 2015. Brandi’s internship experiences, which include Fox 5-WTTG, the U.S Army Office of Public Affairs and WHUT-TV32, have confirmed her passion for covering news, even under stressful conditions.
