Week Three Was Full of Growth
I decided to focus on a story about Bernie Sanders and his plan to clear the student loan debt of 45 million Americans. With coaching by my editor, Marshall Latimore, I turned a script I wrote into a story for the newspaper.
Week Three: Ready For Adventure
The upcoming Go-go documentary we are working on keeps me up at night with excitement. I’m learning so much about the depth of the local culture of D.C., and I’m learning about the passion the Black community has for their culture and how they want to preserve it.
Week Three: Time Is Flying
My favorite story that I covered this week was a press conference by Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. I got a chance to practice my photography at the event which was huge for me.
